Everyone should be able to use heresmine: with a screen reader, keyboard only, zoomed in or with motion off. This is where we stand and what is left to do.

1. What we aim for

We work to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, for the website, the dashboard and every card page. The same bar applies to the cards our customers hand out, because that is the page most people will see.

2. What we do

Contrast: text is at least 4.5:1 against its background. That also holds for the brand colours customers bring: our theme checks every combination and darkens or lightens it until it passes.

Keyboard: everything can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus ring. Every page has a skip link to the content. Menus and sheets keep the focus inside while they are open.

Screen readers: images have a text alternative or are marked decorative, buttons and fields have labels, and status messages (copied, saved, sent) are announced.

Motion: animation and page transitions follow the "reduce motion" setting of your device and are switched off when you ask for that.

Text and layout: text sizes come from a fixed scale, nothing is smaller than 12 px, and every page works from 320 px wide without sideways scrolling. Text can be zoomed to 200%.

Language: the website and the cards are in six languages (English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish and Italian); this statement and the legal texts are in English and Dutch. Each page tells the browser which language it is in.

No time limits, no captchas: a card never expires while you read it, and you sign in with an email link instead of a password.

3. How we test

Before a change goes live we run automated checks (axe-core against WCAG 2.2 AA) on every kind of page, at 1440 and 390 px wide, in Chromium and WebKit (Safari), with reduced motion on. We also walk the main flows (order, sign in, edit a card, share, contacts) with the keyboard.

These are our own tests. We have not had an external audit yet; when we do, we list it here.

4. Known limitations

Generated images: the lock-screen wallpaper, the video call background, the Wallet pass and the share image are pictures. Everything on them is also on the card page as text.

Scripts in generated images: names in Arabic, Hebrew and some other scripts are shown in Latin letters in those images (taken from the card link). On the card page itself they are shown correctly.

Photos: customers upload their own photos. We describe the portrait with the person's name and treat the cover photo as decorative; we can't judge what is in it.

Other companies' pages: Stripe's payment page, Apple Wallet and Google Wallet are outside our control. We only link to them.

5. Tell us

Can't use something, or found a page that doesn't work with your tools? Email info@heresmine.app. We read every message, usually reply within one working day, and fix what we can. Tell us which page and which device or software you use; that helps us find it.

6. About this statement

Drawn up by MP Agency on 19 October 2026, based on our own tests. We update it when the website changes in a way that matters for accessibility, and at least once a year.
